
FACILITY USER GUIDELINES
We are happy to accommodate special needs your event may require. Our
policy guideline addresses our most commonly asked questions.
ADA
The Greenville Convention Center is ADA compliant.
ACCESS
The Greenville Convention Center Manager and any employees designated by the Manager will
have free access at all times to all spaces occupied by the Lessor.
AUDIO-VISUAL
A complete audio-visual guide is available through our preferred in-house audio-visual
company.
COMPETING SHOW POLICY
At the discretion of the Greenville Convention Center, entertainment events or consumer
trade shows that compete for the same market, may not be booked for a period of thirty
days prior to or after a similar show.
DELIVERIES
No deliveries will be accepted on site for any event except for designated set up day(s)
as specified in the Lease Agreement. All packages/shipments must be clearly marked with
the appropriate event. Freight pick-ups must be scheduled for the next business day,
following close of the event.
EXHIBIT BOOTHS
The Greenville Convention Center has black pipe and drape available at a reasonable price.
A list of additional show decorators located in Greenville NC area is available through
the Greenville Convention Center office by calling (866) 485-2668.
FLAMMABLE MATERIALS
No open flames, candles, propane, gasoline, oils, burning fluids or kerosene are permitted
on the premises of the Greenville Convention Center. All materials used for decorative
purposes must be treated with flame proofing and approved by the Greenville Fire
Department. Written consent must be obtained from the Greenville Convention Center Manager
to bring into the building and operate any motor vehicle or machine. No smoke effects or
laser light shows will be permitted in the building.
GUEST ROOM ACCOMMODATIONS
A list of conveniently located Greenville, N.C. area hotels is available upon request or
you may make reservations through the Convention Center Sales Manager by calling
(866)-485-2668.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Normal business hours for the Greenville Convention Center is Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.
In addition, the business office will be open during all event hours. Standard operating
hours for events are 7:00 am - 12:00 midnight. Occupancy of the Convention Center before
or after designated standard operating hours for events must be approved by the Convention
Center Manager and will be charged to the Lessee as overtime hours.
INSURANCE
The Greenville Convention Center will require the Lessee to obtain and keep in full force
(to include move in/move out days) a general liability insurance policy with a North
Carolina licensed insurance company covering injury, including death, to any person or
damage to any property in the amount of $1,000,000.00 resulting from Lessee's use of the
Greenville Convention Center. Certificate of insurance must be on file with the Greenville
Convention not later than two (2) weeks prior to the scheduled event. Lessee must be
named as insured, with the following listed as co-insured: City of Greenville, Exhibit
Hall Managers, LLC, their agents, officers, members and employees.
MOVE-IN/MOVE-OUT
All move in/move out and rehearsal days will be charged at one half the room rental fee.
The Greenville Convention Center will maintain minimum heating and air conditioning, as
well as minimum staffing on move-in/move-out days. Additional charges may apply if move
in/move out requirements exceed our minimums.
PARKING
Parking is under the control of the Greenville Convention Center, and in most cases, is
provided free of charge to the attendees and guests of an event. Public events are subject
to $0.50 per ticket surcharge.
SECURITY
The Greenville Convention Center will provide security personnel at the expense of the
Lessee.
STAFFING
All ticket sellers, ticket takers, general labor, custodians, parking attendants,
telephone operators are employed by the Greenville Convention Center and hourly fees for
all staffing in conjunction with an event will be charged to the LESSEE as labor charges.
